Countback Wizard
Use the Wizard to customize tiebreakers for each
event. Specify up to three tests for breaking ties
for medal play and three tests for team play. For
single-round handicap systems (Callaway, Scheid,
Peoria, System 36), the standard first test used to
break ties is the Scoring System Adjustment,
but you can set tiebreaker to your preference.
If that does not break the tie, the second test is
used, which can be the scores on the last 3 holes.
If that does not break the tie, apply the third test.
If no tiebreakers are used, the Prize Pot Wizard
will automatically allocate prizes among ties.

PROCESS STANDARD OR BLIND CALLAWAY EVENTS
THE SCHEID SYSTEM ADJUSTS VERY HIGH SCORES
| SCHEID FOR SCRAMBLES ADJUSTS LOW SCORES |
|
Automated Event Handicap Substitution
The software allows substitution of the Callaway, Scheid, Peoria, New Peoria
or System 36 score adjustment for a player's Course Handicap for an event.
| After substitution, results can be processed with all of the Net Score options. |
|
IRISH TEAM EVENTS
Process standard team events with 2 to 8 players per team, counting 1 to 8 scores per team.
Irish Team scoring differs from standard team scoring because scores counted vary each hole.
The software allows you to set up any type of Irish Teams event. Four examples are shown below:
Round 1 is a 3-2-1 Event (Best 3 scores on Par 3 Holes, best 2 on Par 4 and best score on Par 5).
Round 2 is a Cha Cha Cha Event (A repeating pattern of counting 1, 2, and 3 best scores of team).
Round 3 is a 1-2-3 Event (Best score on Par 3 Holes, best 2 on Par 4 and best 3 scores on Par 5).
Round 4 is Irish Fourball (Best score Holes 1-6, best 2 on 7-11, best 3 on 12-15 and best 4 on 16-18). |
|
|
|
| Process Multiple Format Team Events with Re-Assign Tool |
For example, if the Event File was processed with 4-player teams and there is a separate competition with
teams or matches of 2 players using the same scores as the other competition, use the COPY DATA tool
to quickly set up a new Event File with revised pairings. Scores in the first file are copied automatically.
TOURNAMENT SKINS PRIZES (Single Hole Performance)
As an adjunct to many events, skins prizes are awarded to players who outperform the field on a single hole.
Skins winners share a Prize Pot. In some events, all players who score a deuce on a Par 3 hole share in a Deuce Pot.
| Our software identifies skins winners. Skins Pots and Deuce Pots can be specified and the software calculates prizes. |
|
In the example below, a Skins Pot of $250 was specified during Event Setup and
Deuce Pots were set up as $100 for Hole 7 and $300 for Hole 15. After scores were
entered, the software calculated that 6 Skins were won (Holes 2, 5, 8, 14, 16, 18).
Bill Barnes and Dan Davis shared the Hole 7 Deuce Pot, each winning $50.
| Carl Coopersmith and Ed Elgin shared the Hole 15 Deuce Pot, each winning $150. |
|
MUTT & JEFF PRIZE
As an adjunct to many events, the top performer on Par 3 and Par 5 holes gets a prize.
| Our software calculates the rankings. Enter the prize on the Miscellaneous Prize Board. |
|
PRIZE SUMMARY TABLE
In the example shown below, Ed Elgin won $30.44 in singles competition, his team had the best
score and his share of the team prize was $54.40. Ed won a skin for $75.00 and he won $15.00
| for a Closest to Pin prize. Jay Jones won the Deuce Pot. Values can be rounded to preference. |
|

Golasso Golf Tournament Software Provides 24 Scoring Options
OUR SOFTWARE IS USED FOR EVENTS IN 64 STATES AND COUNTRIES...TECH SUPPORT 24/7
| Scoring Formats Popular in North America, UK, Australia, Thailand, Hong Kong and Asia |
|
1. LOW GROSS: Scores for Low Gross events can be entered hole-by-hole or use the Quick-18
or Quick-9 features to enter 9-hole or 18-hole total directly. If you are getting reports from the course
| of hole-by-hole scores, scores of rounds in progress can be displayed on scoreboard in clubhouse. |
|
2. CALLAWAY NET: This is a Worst Holes system in which the worst holes tallied are tabular.
PLEASE SEE OUR GLOSSARY OF GOLF SCORING SYSTEMS FOR THE CALLAWAY TABLE
In Callaway scoring, the player's worst holes can be thrown out, but the player is stuck with the
scores on two or three holes selected by the Director. The standard practice is to stick players
| with the scores on Holes 17 and 18. In a Blind Callaway event, stick holes are secretly selected. |
|
|
| Scorecard shown below shows player shot 15 over par. Worst holes were 2 and 13. |
| Tabular Adjustment to Deduction of -1 yields Callaway Adjustment of 13, so Net is 74. |
|

|
| Callaway processing is completely automated. Throw away your tables! Operates on 9-Hole and Par 3 |
courses and on 18-Hole courses that are played to any par..Par 70, Par 71, Par 72 and Par 73 courses.
The standard tiebreaker is Gross Score, but this can be customized using Tiebreaker Wizard.
| The Scoring Log Table displays how the worst holes are tallied: |
|
3. SYSTEM 36: This system adjusts the gross score based on the number of pars and bogeys.
The standard tiebreaker is Gross Score, but this can be customized using Tiebreaker Wizard.
|
| Scorecard below shows player shot 85 with 7 pars and 8 bogeys for 22 points. |
| Subtract 22 from 36 to yield 14, which is subtracted from 85 to yield a Net 71. |
|
Here is a System 36 Scoring Log for an event played on 2 courses. Run events played on 2 to 8 courses.
| Even if courses play to different pars, the software will calculate combined rankings based on relation to par. |
|
4. STABLEFORD SYSTEM: A points system in which the high point total wins. Points are
awarded on each hole for a bogey, par, birdie, eagle or double eagle. Because no points are awarded
| for a score over bogey, players pick up their ball if they cannot make bogey, making events run faster. |
|
PAR SCORING SYSTEM: This is a simplified method of Stableford scoring in which one point is awarded
| for any score under par and one point is deducted for any score over par. Use with the gross or net score. |
|
5. NET STABLEFORD: This is an event for players with Established Handicaps. The software will first calculate the
| net score on each hole and then will apply the Stableford Points to it. Scorecards display both calculations as shown below: |
|
 |
|
|
6. POINT QUOTA a/k/a Par Quota or Chicago System: Variation of Stableford scoring in which each player
has a quota to meet for the round. The software will derive a quota based on a player Handicap Index. If a player lacks
| an established Handicap Index, the quota can be directly entered. Net score is the total points minus the point quota. |
|
| OPTION 1: Software calculates player quotas: OPTION 2: Quotas entered directly for processing: |
|
7. PEORIA SYSTEM a/k/a BANKERS: The Event Director secretly selects 6 or 12 Peoria Holes.
In standard Peoria, scores on six are tallied and in New-New Peoria, scores on 12 are tallied.
Multipliers specified at Event Setup are then applied to the tally. All calculations are completely automated.
PLEASE SEE OUR GLOSSARY OF GOLF SCORING SYSTEMS FOR MORE DETAILS
| Use Tiebreaker Wizard to specify tiebreakers. New-New Peoria is also called Double Peoria. |
|
8. LOW NET: The Low Net system of the United States Golf Association requires entry of USGA®
parameters before each event starts. For each player, enter the Handicap Index. For each course,
enter the USGA Rating and the Difficulty Ranks of the holes. Our software will then do everything
else, calculating the Course Handicap (CH) for each player and the Net Score on each hole. The
software also allows the CH to be entered directly for each player. Use the CH Override feature to
process events based on Established Handicaps of other countries or your local handicap system.
The Low Net results table displays the ESC Gross Score for archiving. Select from two methods of
| Equitable Stroke Control: fixed stroke maximum (USGA) or maximum based on relation to par (RCGA). |
|
9. LOW NET MIX: This feature allows you to process events in which players who do not have an Established Handicap can
| compete with those who do. You can substitute the Callaway, Scheid, Peoria or System 36 Adjustment for Course Handicap. |
|
In the example above, the Callaway Button was clicked to yield the Callaway Adjustment.
| Click the CHANGE button and the screen below appears to set Course Handicap. |
|
10. SCHEID SYSTEM: This is a Worst Holes system in which the worst holes tallied are tabular.
PLEASE SEE OUR GLOSSARY OF GOLF SCORING SYSTEMS FOR THE SCHEID TABLE
The Scheid System is a modified Callaway System that allows unskilled players to be more competitive.
| Under the Scheid System, scores as high as 150 can be adjusted. Callaway adjusts scores up to 120. |
|
11. STRIKE THREE: This is a Worst Holes system in which the Net Score is determined by
| subtracting the three worst holes from the 18-hole gross score. |
|
12. NET SCRAMBLE: This is a Worst Holes tabular system designed especially for scramble events.
Our scramble leaderboards will display the names of all of the members of the scramble team.
PLEASE SEE OUR GLOSSARY OF GOLF SCORING SYSTEMS FOR THE NET SCRAMBLE TABLE
| The system is also known as the Scheid for Scrambles system. It will adjust very low scores. |
|
13. BLIND 6 or 9: The Event Director secretly selects 6 or 9 holes or draws numbers out of a hat
| after play ends. Net score is simply the gross score minus the scores on the secret holes. |
|
14. IRISH FOURBALL: A team event using Stableford Scoring. The software tallies a different
number of scores of team members as play progresses. On Holes 1 to 6 only the top score counts.
The top two scores count on Holes 7 to 11. The top three scores count on Holes 12 to 15. On the
| last three holes, all four scores of team members are tallied and counted by the software. |
|
15. THE TRAIN: A variation of Stableford that penalizes inconsistent play. Points accumulate
unless and until a player has a caboose (two zero scores on consecutive holes). With a caboose,
the train ends and the score reverts to zero. All previous points are lost. A new train then begins.
In the example below, Cal Cooper had a caboose on Holes 6 and 7 and lost 5 points he had earned.
Then Cal earned 4 more points, but had another caboose on Holes 12 and 13, and he lost those 4.
| Finally, Cal started a new train on Hole 14 and earned points on 15, 16 and 17 for a total of 5 points. |
|
16. BINGO BANGO: This points system allows unskilled golfers to be more competitive because no matter how
many strokes it takes to reach a green, the player can lose no more than one point. Points for the round are determined
| from the number of putts, the number of fairways hit and number of greens in regulation (which the software calculates). |
|

| Low score wins in Bingo Bango. In example above, Cal Cooper had 31 putts, hit 11 fairways and 5 greens for a net of 13. |
|
17. SKINS GAMES: Skins is a points game usually played in foursomes. Our Skins Game software can
process 75 foursomes in a single Event File with completely automated calculation of skins. The point value
| for a skin on each hole is specified at Event Setup. The Skins Log Table shows carryover and skins won. |
|
|
| 18. SCHOOL TEAMS: The software can process events with as many 8 players per school and up to 300 total players. |
Results displays for school team events will show both the team rankings and the rankings for individual medalist.
Count all scores or specify the number of best scores. For multiple round events, best scores can be processed cumulatively
or round by round. If a school does not send a full team, leave names blank on Player List screen. In the example shown below,
| the software will not count Kenbrook School in team rankings, but David and Todd will be ranked for medalist. |
|

|
| The software stores coach names and contact information. |
| Use our Email Tool to send emails to all coaches at the same time. |
|
 |
|
|
19. CHA CHA CHA: This is a Low Gross event for teams of three or more players. On Hole 1, only
the lowest score on the team is counted. On Hole 2, the two lowest are tallied and on Hole 3, the three
lowest are tallied. The three-hole tally cycle is repeated for Holes 4, 5 and 6, and for subsequent holes.
In par-based best ball Cha-Cha-Cha, the tally count will vary depending on the par of the hole.
|
| 20. WHACK AND HACK: This is a Low Gross event for teams of three or more players. On each |
hole, the software tallies the best and the worst score made by team members. There is a rule that
| rewards good play. If the low score on a hole is under par, the software tallies the two best scores. |
|
21. LAS VEGAS: Low Gross event for teams of two players. The team score
| on a hole is the low score multiplied by 10 with the higher score added to that value. |
|
22. RINGERS a/k/a Eclectic: A multiple round event in which scores on each hole for each round are
not added together. Instead the software adds only the lowest score on each hole from all rounds played.
Use our Golf League Wizard software to maintain your club's Ringers stats for the entire season!
| In the Scoring Log example shown below, the Ringers Score is 64 from rounds of 72, 79, 72 and 90. |
|
23. BEST BALL: In this team event, the best score on the team is the only score counted for each hole.
Scoreboard options for multiple round events include Best-By-Round and Best Cumulative. The software
| can also process Best 2, Best 3, etc. For Irish Team Best Ball, the tally count will vary for each hole. |
|
| 24. MATCH PLAY: Our match play software displays hole-by-hole status and final results on gridlines. |
